Beverage Director and Partner
Matthew Conway is the beverage director and partner at Peasant and Restaurant Marc Forgione. Conway has built wine lists that feature producers who respect the history and origin of the grapes they farm and bottle. Conway has a special love for Syrah from the Northern Rhône region but prides himself on a creating a program built for all drinkers by providing a diverse and ever changing beverage program.
Conway is a graduate of New York City’s American Sommelier Association, worked for Chef Gray Kunz at Café Gray in the Time Warner center from ’04-’07 and Taillevent in Paris for the summer of 2010. He is a certified coffee sommelier, one of Zagat’s “30 Under 30” in 2012, and Star Chefs named him one of its “Rising Star Sommeliers” in 2015.
