Marc Forgione

Chef and Owner

Chef Forgione began his career at the age of 16, joining his father, Larry Forgione (known as “The Godfather” of American Cuisine), in the kitchen at An American Place. His highly-acclaimed first restaurant, Marc Forgione, was opened in Tribeca in 2008 and received two stars in the New York Times. Years later he co-founded the successful steakhouse American Cut and the only Laotian restaurant in New York City, Khe-Yo, with his friend chef Soulayphet Schwader. Peasant has long been one of Marc’s favorite restaurants so he's thrilled to add it to the Forge family!
